Life hack #9: Feng Shui your ex out of your physical space

[00:00:00] If you had your ex over for sleepovers or hangouts or whatever, and then you break up, it can be really traumatic to kind of look at the same chair or the same bedding and be like, oh my gosh, you know, it smells like him still. Or, you know, that was his spot on the bed or that was his favorite cookies that are sitting in the cabinet or whatever.

And, uh, it can kind of haunt you. So I don't know much about Feng Shui, but I do know that i'm an energy healer. I know that energy impacts us on multiple levels, even if we're aware of it or not. And one of the most effective life hacks for dealing with a break up is changing the physical space around you.

If they had a favorite chair, your ex, if they had a favorite chair that they sat on or something, move that chair, cover that chair in something else. Put a book on it, put something on it that makes it used for something else. Um, I like to rearrange furniture. I don't want the couch to be in the same place after a break up because every time I sit on that couch, I'll just be missing him beside me, right?

So if I move the couch to a different part of my apartment or my house, [00:01:00] then it's like I've changed the energy in the room when I sit there. there. I'm not sitting in our old memories of nostalgia. I have a bit of a different change of perspective, even if it seems small, the physical change is impactful.

So this goes if they have a drawer at your house, if they had dressers and they had things that they used a space that they used, don't just leave it empty once they've cleared out their stuff. You don't use it. Find a place. Beautiful purpose for it, right? Maybe get a plant, put a plant in where they used to put their shoes.

I don't know, figure out a way to utilize the space that they used to occupy into something that actually does bring you joy and basically will make you happy every time you look at it instead of sad that that space is no longer being used the old fashioned way. It seems small, but this life hack can really do great things for your mental health.
