Sometimes the best thing you can do when you are super upset about something and you can't get yourself to calm down, you can't calm down your nervous system.
Maybe you're crying too much, or maybe you're just super sad or super angry.
Honestly, one thing that helps me is to go and take a hot shower and let that water hit you all over your face, your head, whatever. Cry in the shower if you need to, I mean, there's already water coming down. No one will really hear you. It's a really private place. And if you do have one of those minds where you can visualize things, visualize the cleansing of your aura of all the sadness with all of the water that is hitting you. Watch like it's in your mind's eye, your third eye, watch the water wash away the sadness and grief in your mind and stand there and just let it flow and cleanse you.
So this is something I have done that helps me. Sometimes I've even had to have multiple showers a day because I was so upset and I needed to keep going to this solution.
So if you go into the hot [00:01:00] shower and use this as a life hack to calm you down and get you to a state of grounded again. You could use this and make it a transformational experience. And even if you just believe it's going to be transformational in helping you calm down, it will be affective. Study the placebo effect and you'll know what I mean. So, yeah, go have a hot shower, a cold shower, a bath, whatever it is, but it's amazing what you can do with just, you know, getting yourself into a re-cleansed state and trying again to emotionally regulate.
